September Nailshine Journey contest

Hi all!  Well, this has been one heck of a year already, hasn't it?

I hope everyone that lives in the midwest is enjoying the change in weather...this cooler weather is welcome change from all the heat and lack of moisture.

However, a shout out to those in Colorado...prayers said for relief and everyone's safety.  Let's hope the flood waters recede fast and that they can get the roads repaired in record time.

Also, prayers for the victims and their families in the developing shooting story in Washington D.C.  Hope they can catch the perpetrators without anymore loss of life.

Today, on a more upbeat note, I have finished a nail art manicure that you should enjoy.  Here it is:

First, base color painted...I chose a skittle composed of Avon Cosmics: Aurora, Saturn, Super Nova, Galaxy, thumb: Above The Curve's Michelle's Pink. Let dry fully. (sorry for the ouchie cuticle...it hurts bad and this was as good as I could get it to look...thank you door frame!!) (Side note: Currently, Avon is having a special on these nail colors: 2 for $6.99 and if you order more than $10.00, you can get free shipping using code: SAVE4FALL. Isn't that awesome! That is how I got 4 different colors! Not sure how long this is going on for, so go now! SWEET!) (Also: Above The Curve currently has only a few of the Michelle's Pink left and it is on sale right now for $5.00 for a 15ml bottle. Gorgeous 2 coat pink linear holographic.)
Then, I painted lines with nail art liners in black, silver and white. Let dry.
Then, once dry, I painted dots on the lines with the respective colors, black, silver and white. Let dry. Then, come back with your base colors and put the dots over the "line dots" for each corresponding nail color. (if you are using one base color, then you would over lay the color over all the dots too) Finally, a coat or two of shiny top coat. Here, I used HK Girl from Glisten and Glow. Go check out Nailshine Journey on Facebook and on her Blog! Enjoy! <3
